Advanced Skin Treatments
Skin is undoubtedly the largest organ in the body. It works as a protective wall between the inner body and the outer world. Our skin is constantly growing, with old skin cells dying and new cells developing. Skin is affected by every small aspect of our life, such as what we eat and drink and the climate we live in. A good skincare regime is essential to graceful ageing and can slow down the harmful effects of time and the environment. Caring for our skin is also crucial for our overall health and wellbeing.
Our skin is the first thing that people see when they look at us. Healthy skin is the foundation of a beautiful, gorgeous you. When it comes to our overall appearance, almost everyone wants to look their best. Unhealthy skin looks dull and is more prone to various skin disorders, infections, and scars. Good skincare is especially important for people who have experienced any skin problems or skin allergies.
At House of Brows we understand the important of great skincare. We offer an array of bespoke facials and skin treatments to keep you looking and feeling your absolute best!
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a 10 gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling, dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. Favoured in the entertainment industry, it also eliminates that ‘peach fuzz’ layer of facial hair, which cakes up in makeup and can be enhanced by harsh production lighting and high-definition cameras.
Dermaplaning also allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup application.
The Dermaplaning Express treatment also includes an enzyme peel to accelerate cell turnover, leading to fresher, more glowing skin.
Chemical Peel
A chemical peel is a treatment in which an acid solution is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. A chemical peel enhances and smooths the texture of the skin. It is an effective treatment for facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation. The outer layers of dead skin are exfoliated away, revealing a new skin layer with improved tone, texture, and colour.
Chemical peels result in full facial rejuvenation and we offer 3 types of here at House of Brows:
- Pure chemical peel – this peel is perfect for troubled, sensitive skin that is prone to blemishes;
- Glow chemical peel – this peel is best for clients who suffer from hyperpigmentation, age spots and dull, tired skin;
- Refresh chemical peel – this peel is especially useful for those with fines lines and wrinkles and dehydrated skin.
A course of peels are required for optimum results and can be used in conjunction with other available treatments such as micro-needling. This will be fully explored with each client at their initial consultation.
Microneedling
Micro-needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is intended to significantly improve the appearance of acne scars, aged and sun damaged skin, fine lines, wrinkles and pore size.
The treatment involves the use of tiny sterile needles, which safely and precisely create controlled micro-injuries to the skin, triggering new collagen production. This in turn helps the skin to become more youthful, plump and radiant.
Depending on the clients treatments needs, different mesotherapy mixtures are also available for use in conjunction with the micro-needling procedure. This technique insures optimum penetration of serums within the dermis with superior results to those achievable with other methods of application.
With our Dermaplaning Deluxe treatment, a hydrogel mask is also included, in addition to the enzyme peel. The hydrogel mask is tailored to the individual client’s specific treatment needs, in order to address issues such as hyperpigmentation, blemish prone skin or fine lines and wrinkles.
